During a film premiere in Beijing on December 28, 2025, Jackie Chan was overcome with emotion. An audience question prompted him to reflect. “Growing old is a privilege,” the 71-year-old said, recounting how a video of a child from bombed-out Gaza brought him to tears.

Stefan Gossler, the German dubbing voice of Jackie Chan, has passed away at the age of 70. Gossler had been Chan’s regular German voice actor since RUMBLE IN THE BRONX (1995). Shortly before the German release of his last Chan work, SHADOW CHASE (The Shadow’s Edge, 2025), scheduled for home cinema at the end of January 2026, we look back on 30 years of his chantastic performance.

Filming for ARMOUR OF GOD (1986) began in late August 1985 in Zagreb, then Yugoslavia, and ended prematurely in early September with an almost fatal accident involving Jackie Chan. The scenes that were filmed have not been released to this day. I will try to explain why.
