Construction of the Film Pavilion in Kaskelen Inaugurated with “Asian Hawk” Time Capsule
On April 4, 2026, a ceremonial handover of a time capsule took place in Kaskelen (Almaty Region). This marked the commencement of construction for the first modern film soundstages, covering areas of 2,000 m² and 1,000 m².
The soundstages are designed and equipped in accordance with the standards and technical specifications of major international film studios. This will make it possible to realize international film projects within Kazakhstan.
Guests of honor at the ceremony included the Akim of the Almaty Region, Marat Sultanazhiyev, as well as the executive producer of the film Armour of God 4: Ultimatum, Li Chiuwah.
The first project to be filmed here is Armour of God 4: Ultimatum, starring the world-renowned action star, actor, director, and producer Jackie Chan.
A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of a time capsule—signed by Jackie Chan in Hong Kong—which had been transported to Kazakhstan by helicopter. This act symbolized the joint placement of the capsule and served as the official kick-off for the studio’s construction.

The team from Salem Entertainment held a successful meeting with the media company “Uzbekfilm” and the Uzbek Film Agency.
They scouted potential filming locations, discussed the framework for collaboration, and received support from their colleagues.
Salem Entertainment hopes to carry out a portion of the filming in Uzbekistan—a land rich in history, culture, and unique atmosphere!
