The Armour Of God
For the 4K HDR reissue by 88 Films, I was given free rein to really let loose. My essay “Reborn a Dragon: Putting on the Full Armour of God” covers the entire production period of the film – including its various secondary locations – and features multiple interviews with eyewitnesses and the Austrian production team. I delve in meticulous detail into the specifics of Jackie Chan’s near-fatal accident, presenting a comprehensive timeline of the events leading up to and following it; a timeline more detailed than any ever published before.
This release also includes a very rare trailer, filmed just one month after Jackie Chan’s accident. I was instrumental in tracking down this trailer, which 88 Films has now successfully licensed for home video release; making it available to a broad audience for the very first time.
