Jackie Chan’s latest action blockbuster THE SHADOW’S EDGE has pleasantly surprised fans and critics alike. While the film filled cinemas almost worldwide, Germany will unfortunately have to make do with home cinema releases in January 2026. To bridge the waiting time, I invited Lee B. Jackie Chan’s “Railroad Tigers” is back at Koch Media again
What is wrong with Splendid Film, the German Jackie Chan label par excellence? First Koch Media secured the rights to Jackie Chan’s sequel to “The Myth” from 2005 called “Kung Fu Yoga” (2017), then the German distributor shines with the first Blu-ray release of “The Prisoner” (1991) including the much sought-after Taiwanese long version. And now Koch Media is leasing another Chan blockbuster from the Cologne film label Splendid Film: “Railroad Tigers” from 2016.

“The Prisoner” stands out from the extensive filmography of Hong Kong film legend Jackie Chan, not least because of its brutality, Jackie’s criminal character and his rather poor screen presence. Indexed in Germany for a long time, now Koch Media surprisingly delivers and provides a treat!
“Kung Fu Yoga” with Jackie Chan receives confusing additional German title
One of the most successful Jackie Chan films in years, “Kung Fu Yoga”, will unfortunately not be shown in cinemas in Germany. Instead, Koch Media has secured the rights for home entertainment and is causing slight confusion and disappointment among Jackie Chan fans with the additional title.
